Level 7 Aesthetic Practice: injectables training
The ProQual Level 7 Diploma in Aesthetic Practice (610/4479/9) is the qualification built for anti-wrinkle injections and dermal fillers. It is Ofqual-regulated, assessed by a portfolio of observed treatments on live models, and open to non-medics through the qualification route as well as to registered nurses and doctors.
- Six mandatory units, from consultation to complications
- Every practical skill observed at least ten times
- Non-medic route through a Level 5 or Level 6 diploma
- A new Level 7 specification starts on 1 January 2027

One step to go: first aid
You need a valid Level 3 first-aid qualification before Level 7. Our Level 3 Award in Adult Basic Life Support, AED & Management of Anaphylaxis covers it.
Next step: a Level 6 qualification
Level 7 needs a Level 6 qualification that includes anatomy and professional practice. Our ProQual Level 6 Diploma is the natural next step.

The questions people ask before they start
Straight answers to the things most people want to know before choosing a course.
“I’m completely new to this.”
Start with our Level 3 course, which has no formal entry requirements, or a beginner-friendly CPD or ABT course, and build up from there.
“Is the course regulated?”
Our ProQual diplomas are Ofqual-regulated and carry a qualification number you can check on the Ofqual register. CPD and ABT courses are accredited, not regulated, and we label them clearly.
“I’m not a nurse or doctor.”
Non-medics can reach Level 7 through a Level 5 or Level 6 diploma. Botox is prescription-only, so non-prescribers work with a prescriber.
“What about complications?”
Complications are part of every injectables course we teach, and Level 7 has a full unit on preventing, recognising and managing them.
“Can I fit it around work?”
Theory is guided study in your own time, and you come to the academy for practical days on live models.
“Can I spread the cost?”
Yes. Flexible payment options are available, so ask about them when you enquire.

Aesthetics law in England, in brief
- No required qualification yet. No law in England currently names a qualification you must hold to give toxin or filler treatments.
- Licensing is coming. The government has said it will introduce a licensing scheme for non-surgical cosmetic procedures, and on 21 October 2026 it opened a consultation, running until 13 January 2027, on restricting some higher-risk procedures to healthcare professionals. Botulinum toxin and dissolvable facial fillers are not on that list.
- Under-18s. Giving botulinum toxin or dermal filler for cosmetic reasons to anyone under 18 is already an offence in England.
- Prescribing. Botulinum toxin is a prescription-only medicine. No aesthetics diploma gives prescribing rights.
